Adoption Health Review provides a structured, physician-directed interpretation of the documentation you have received so you can better understand what is documented — and where uncertainty remains.

When Families Seek Consultation
Families commonly request consultation when:
Medical consultation is not required for adoption. However, some families choose to have a physician’s interpretation to better understand the documentation they have received.
How the Consultation Process Works
Recognizing the time-sensitive nature of adoption decisions, we make every effort to complete the review and schedule the consultation within 3–5 business days of secure document submission.
If expedited review is needed, please indicate this at the time of booking. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate your request.

Complete Agreement and Payment
Consultations are structured professional services. The service agreement and payment are completed prior to the record review.
Secure Document Submission
You will receive a secure link to upload medical documentation through our secure, HIPAA-compliant system. Medical records are not reviewed via unsecured email.
Physician Review
Your documentation is carefully reviewed. When appropriate, subspecialty consultation — including neonatology review for NICU cases — is incorporated.
Consultation Meeting
You receive a written summary and participate in a virtual consultation with time for discussion and questions.

Tier 1: Brief Record Review
This is most suited for:

Tier 2: Focused Record Review
This is most suited for cases such as:

- Up to 20 pages per child
Tier 3: Comprehensive Record Review
This is most suited for cases such as:

Multiple Children or Cases
Additional children or cases reviewed concurrently receive a 30% discount per child.
Returning Clients
15% reduction on base consultation fees within 12 months

Is this service required for adoption?
No. A medical consultation for record review is not required. However, some families choose to obtain an independent physician’s interpretation to better understand the medical documentation they have received.
What is the purpose of a medical interpretation consultation?
The purpose is to provide a structured physician review of the documentation submitted, explain medical terminology, and discuss documented findings and areas of uncertainty.
Can you predict future health outcomes?
No. Medical interpretation does not predict or guarantee future outcomes.
What if I only have a one-page summary?
Brief summaries are common. The Tier 1 Brief Record Review is designed specifically for short documents.
Why is payment required before review?
Consultations are structured professional services. Agreement and payment are completed prior to the review to ensure the defined scope and expectations are met.
How are records submitted securely?
All documentation is uploaded through a secure HIPAA-compliant system.
How long does the review take?
Our goal is to complete the review and schedule the consultation within 3–5 business days of secure document submission. If a shorter turnaround is needed, we will make every effort to accommodate your requests.
My records are not in English. What should I do?
All submitted records submitted for review must be in English. You may use a translation service of your choice and submit the English translation to us.
Will my adoption agency or attorney receive a copy of the report?
Adoption Health Review operates as an independent professional service entity. Consultation findings are shared directly with the family. Families may choose whether or not to share written summaries with agencies or attorneys.
